Kristian Rasmussen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law, and he is a graduate of the Naval War College.
Before joining Levin Papantonio, Mr. Rasmussen prosecuted cases as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Florida, and served the United States Navy as an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps. At age 26, Mr. Rasmussen successfully tried, as lead counsel, a felony bombing trial in United States District Court.
Currently Mr. Rasmussen is a member of Levin Papantonio's mass tort department. He serves on the PSC and is co-chair of the trial committee for MDL No. 1632 (contaminated fuel litigation). Mr. Rasmussen has lectured on COX-2 inhibitors and specifically Bextra for ATLA, Mass Torts Made Perfect, Harris Martin Publishing and Mealey's. Additionally, Mr. Rasmussen is co-chair of ATLA's COX-2 litigation group.
Practice Areas include: mass-torts (pharmaceutical emphasis); class actions (consumer litigation and securities emphasis); and personal injury law.
